1- Over 38 delegates from seven countries took part in the Secure Parking International Conference in September 2009, in what was a great opportunity to share experience and knowledge.
The conference was held from 20-24 September at Sydney’s Darling Harbour. First on the agenda was a welcome event where delegates from Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, India, China, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates mingled for drinks overlooking the iconic harbour.
Day one of the conference opened on a more serious note, with each country presenting on the company’s current situation, the unique conditions of their market and future planning. On day two, the Australian Management team held educational presentations on Business Development, Sales and Marketing, and Auditing and IT, with a management workshop in the afternoon.
Days three and four of the conference featured one-on-one workshops with various departments, and gave international guests the opportunity to enjoy the sights and cuisine of Sydney.
While the last International Conference was held eight years ago, CEO Brett Mathews believes the next event may not be so far off.
‘The conference was a great opportunity for all management teams to meet and share information. The collective knowledge base and expertise on the parking industry is encouraging,’ he said.
‘We see great benefits to holding this international event on a more regular basis.’
The international conference was very rewarding to all delegates who have put plans to invest their knowledge and experience in the car park operations of each country.

The operation required a capital commitment by the Company of an excess of USD350,000 and involves the money collection from the meters and the wheel clamping of parking ‘offenders’. Those meters have helped organize the traffic in the city of Tripoli, minimize jams and avoid double parking or blocking parking.
